    Default oil furnace wont fire up

    i have the fuse out of the fusebox.when i put the fuse in the fisebox, my furnace hums, when i turn the thermostat up and put it on heat all the switch does is click. there are 2 switches on the side that hum thats why i pull the fuse help please bill

    Hi Bill. It seems that perhaps your red button has tripped. Try looking on top of the burner for it and only push it in once, let me know what happens

    i pushed it and it comes on for a minute then cuts off

    Then you have issues with the burner it self. You need to check if you have fuel and fuel at the unit. Try replacing the filter. You can see my video on that on the main site. http://www.askmediy.com/indoor/heati...s/index.1.html

    i can see fire in there thru the hole but it wont stay lit long

    That doesn't mean the filter isn't plugged. Once you know for sure the filter is OK, then you may want to inspect or remove the flame sensor. This is a sensor that after a cretin amount of time if it doesn't sense a flame it will shut the unit right down. Your issue here is either both or one or the other.

    i dont know if the filter is ok or not, i have oil coming to the motor from the filter, i bled the line a little but not much. i saw oil coming out so i stopped bleeding it

    and when it shuts down the humming is still there. thats why i remove the fuse

    Then replace that sensor inside the unit. Watch my videos on how to replace a nozzle. First go out and buy one. This way you know what it looks like.

    gee. im glad i talked to you. i thought you had to remove the whole motor to replace nozzle. according to your video, you just remove the screw on rear of that thing on top of the motor unhook the oil line and take the nut off and remove the nozzle that looks pretty easy. lol thank you kindly
